President/Legislative Chairperson - Debbie Owens
As President, I set the agendas and run the Board and Seminar business meetings. I write the monthly President’s letter for our website and oversee all of the NSDHS Board. This is a one year position and then I move into the Past President position for another year.
As the Legislative Chair, I submit legislative articles for our website and attend the Board of Dentistry meetings and Lobby Day in Springfield. I keep our membership posted with current legislative information and encourage them to establish contact with their legislators on pending IDHA or ISDS legislation.

Vice President- Lisa Schmidt
As the Vice President, I communicate and assist with the current year's speakers and sponsors for each NSDHS Seminar. I have a few sponsors I need for 2012 so please contact me if you know of anyone. I will also be making all the arrangements for the speakers and sponsors for our 2012-2013 year, so let me know if you have a speaker in mind. I serve as VP a one year term and move directly into the President position. |

Recording Secretary - Jill Gauss
As Recording Secretary, I am responsible for taking and preparing the official minutes at all Component Seminars and NSDHS Board meetings. The minutes are then stored on disk and emailed to all Board members within one week of the meeting. I also collect Annual Reports from Board members and stores them on disk. This is a two year position. |

Newsletter Corresponding Secretary - Sara Hallowell
As Newsletter Corresponding Secretary, I am responsible for delivering NSDHS Board approved component communication to dental hygienists who have indicated a desire to receive communication from NSDHS. This information is via email and communicates NSDHS Seminar information and other pertinent information deemed worthy by the NSDHS Board. When you register for our seminars, you will receive a confirmation letter from me prior to the seminar. This is a two year position. |

Treasurer - Linnea Heatwole
As the Treasurer, I am responsible for all financial aspects of NSDHS. This includes paying all bills and depositing all funds from registration and sponsorships. All financial records must be prepared for a CPA compilation at the end of each fiscal year. I also prepare an initial budget for the year and send monthly reports to the board. |

Component Trustee/Bylaws & Procedures - Gina Strelecki
As the Component Trustee, I represent NSDHS at the IDHA Board of Trustee meetings three times per year. My travel expenses are reimbursed by NSDHS, as some meetings may be in Springfield. I will also be attending the IDHA Annual Session in Godrey, Illinois and will work with our delegates and alternates during this important legislative meeting.
As the Bylaws and Procedure Chair, I am responsible for keeping our Bylaws and Procedure Manual up to date and in accordance with IDHA. I also advise the board to make sure that it is followed.

Co-Component Trustee - Melissa Salzmann
As the Co-Component Trustee, I will represent NSDHS when our Component Trustee, Gina is unavailable. I set up travel arrangements for the IDHA Annual Session and am in charge of the annual Delegate Silent Auction to raise money for our travel expenses. I am being mentored by Gina and will move up next year into the Component Trustee position.

Advertisment & Public Relations Chariperson - Angela Kozak
As the Advertisement Chair, I solicit advertisements from area dentists, dental placement agencies or dental related employers to post on the NSDHS website.
My role as the Public Relations Chair gives me the responsibility of maintaining the NSDHS Facebook page as well as communicating to the community any NSDHS functions and activities. |

Community Service Chairperson Ashley Angelo
As Community Service Committee Chair, I set up at least one event to aid the local community. Currently, I just had a successful coat drive for WINGS and plan on having a food drive this March. Hygienists attending our seminars are able to participate in this activity and I am grateful for their participation. |

Dental Health Chariperson - Sonia Kerr
As the Dental Health Chairperson, I maintain presentation materials for the membership and assists in speaking at local schools, libraries, and clubs throughout our area. |

Historian Chariperson - Kimmy Yaras
As Historian, I maintain both the President’s and Component’s scrapbooks; work with the membership chair to acknowledge long term members and plan reunions and anniversary events. |

Membership Chariperson - Kunjal Mahajan
As the Membership Chairperson, I maintain an open communication with all NSDHS members, supplying them with membership materials, encouraging all dental hygienists to join, and answering any questions or concerns they may have. I also work closely with the Student Relations Chair assisting with presentations to the students and helping them become student members and convert to full membership upon licensure. |

Seminar Coordinator/ Website Liaison- Laura Burke
As the Seminar Coordinator, I accept reservations for the NSDHS Seminars via PayPal or US mail, produce the registration sign in sheets and CE certificates and make dinner and other arrangements with the banquet hall.
Also serving as Website Liaison, I work closely with the Website Developer, proofreading all articles before they are place on the NSDHS website. I inform board members about articles to be written and compose and send out all email reminders for NSDHS Seminars.

Student Relations Chariperson - Jacqueline Frede
As the Student Relations Chair, I act as the liaison between the Harper College Dental Hygiene students and NSDHS. I attend their ADHA Student Chapter meetings at Harper and write articles for the website concerning their education and activities. |

Ways and Means Chairperson - Jodi Majewski
As the Ways and Means Chairperson, I run the 50/50 raffle and any sponsor-related raffle of a product. This is done at each NSDHS Seminar and helps to raise money for our component or for a particular cause. |

Immediate Past President- Kathy Barnum
As the Immediate Past President, I act as an advisor to the Board, obtain nominations for new board members and run the elections for the next fiscal year. This is a one year position. See me if you want to join our board. Committee members are needed. |

Delegates and Alternates - Sonia Kerr, Linnea Heatwole, Erin Peters,Rebecca Vanden Heuvel, Trish De Dios, Jenny Rush & Melissa Salzmann
As Delegates and Alternates, we represent NSDHS at the IDHA Annual Session in the fall. We vote on proposed Bylaw changes for IDHA. Delegates serve a 2 year term and Alternates serve a 1 year term. |
